Mechropolis was my final project during my second year of Game Design studies. It was made in ten weeks in collaboration with six of my classmates.
It’s a vertical slice of a first-person puzzle adventure set in an abandoned underground civilization inhabited by left behind robots. The player progresses through the game by fusing these robots into new entities that combine the properties of their components. She then needs to take advantage of these fused robots’ abilities to traverse the environment.
On this project, I was one of two lead designers as well as being responsible for implementing the robots’ many behaviors.
Mechropolis recieved a nomination for Best 2nd Year Project at the 2014 Gotland Game Conference.
